The national standard gb8624-97 divides the combustion performance of building materials into the following grades:
1. Class A: non combustible building materials: almost non combustible materials.
2. Class B1: flame retardant building materials: flame retardant materials have good flame retardant effect. It is difficult to ignite when it meets open fire in the air or under the action of high temperature, so it is not easy to spread quickly, and the combustion stops immediately when the fire source is removed.
3. Class B2: Combustible building materials: combustible materials have certain flame retardant effect. When exposed to open fire in the air or under the action of high temperature, it will immediately ignite and burn, which is easy to lead to the spread of fire, such as wooden columns, wooden roof frames, wooden beams, wooden stairs, etc.
4. Grade B3: flammable building materials: no flame retardant effect, easy to burn, high fire risk.
Through the above classification standards, we can see that the fire rating of tile floor is "a", that of wood floor is "B2", and that of carpet is "B3". The fire performance of SPC floor is not as good as tile floor, but better than wood floor and carpet, which belongs to "B1 level".
This means that it is difficult for SPC floor to catch fire in the case of open fire or high temperature. Even if there is a very high fire source to force it to burn, it will not spread, and it will not produce toxic and harmful gases. After the fire source is removed, the burning of SPC floor will stop immediately.
